BANATARA BHAVANA INAUGURATION AT PUTTUR

MANGALORE;Bunt community has progressed enough in the social strata and they need not ask for reservation, instead government might ask cooperation from them said Karnataka Lokayukta justice N.Santhosh Hegde.

Mr.Hegde was speaking after inaugurating BANTARA BHAVANA(Late.M.Sundarram Shetty Hall) which was built at Puttur at a cost of Rs.1.6 crore by Puttur Taluk bunts association.

Bunts community has been in the forefront in many fields as education, industry and political front. However there was a need for controlling dowry system, exorbitant marriages and such other problems in the community he added.

District buntara yane nadavara sangha former president K.Ajith Kumar Rai Maladi and A.Sadananda Shetty,Taluk Panchayat president Chanila Timmappa Shetty, District buntara yane nadavara sangha secretary Sundara Shetty were chief guests of the programme.

Puttur Taluk Bunts Association president Savanur Seetharama Rai welcomed the gathering and briefed about the association activities.
